WISSE is an incorporated society established to teach the theory and principles of scientific-socialism to both the working class and members of the union movement. WISSE conducts classes, seminars, lectures, and develops publications and online resources and discussion for the betterment of it members.

In interpreting and teaching the theories of socialism WISSE is guided by the historical development of society; the relations between people in production as the scientific-materialist basis of the various social formations; the theory of scientific-materialism and the general direction of future social change.
